#1 Title: Club & Meeting Organization Help
PURPOSE: To help you form a club, organize it, and set guidelines/rules.
* Form a Club
Start by visualizing what kind of club YOU want.
Then, reach out to friends, relatives, members of other clubs you're in, and, if needed, broadcast a request on social media!
RECOMMENDATION: Start small. 4-6 members. Grow Later!
IT'S YOUR CHOICE.
* Organize Your Club (Suggest you do this in 1st meeting)
EACH MEETING NEEDS A LEADER. Set one leader for each meeting, for the next 3 months, for the next 6 months, or for the next year. OR ????.
Set meeting day/time, location(s). Recommend weekly, every other week, OR ???.
Meeting length - typically 1 hour.
IT'S YOUR CHOICE.
* Set up YOUR Club Meeting Rules
The Leader takes charge and opens the meeting, greeting new members and guests.
The remaining needed rules address speech length, topic(s), and post-speech topics.
Each speaker should have a speech-time limit. Usually, 5-12 minutes is enough.
Topic can be anything, OR, YOUR RULES might dictate a topic area like Healthcare, A.I., Education, Politics (!!!), Sports, etc.).
POST-SPEECH - A speaker can ask any person(s) to talk about what they liked, and what they'd wish they had seen/heard for each speech in a meeting.
The goal of this is to have feedback to help a speaker improve.
IT'S YOUR CHOICE!
It is your choice on any Guideline / Rule.
